The Christmas decorations have been out since Halloween, but once thanksgiving was done, I knew that I had to start worrying. You see, there is a problem in my life. My birthday. It's Christmas day. And well, I guess someone up there doesn't want to share it, because I'm cursed. Every year, something bad happens to me, a person I care about, or something very valuable to me.*My name is Kaela. I know, it's spelled differently. I think of it as unique. I'm 14 years old and have blondish-brown curly hair. Blue eyes. 5' 5" tall. A fun person. That is until the Christmas season rolls around. Maybe I should explain some of the other characters in my life, but in their point of view.My name is Tamara. I am best friends with Kaela. I'm 16, so there's a two years difference, but hey, she is the best friend a girl could ask for. She is very mature for her age. Well, I also have brownish-blondish curly hair, but straight side bangs. I have hazel eyes and am tall and thin. I'm hyperactive, musical, and good at sports. A lot of the jerks come on to me, and I'm glad that Kaela is strong. A thing you might not know about her is that she's a black belt in karate. And very smart.My name is Thomas. Call me Tom. I'm the father of Kaela. I work a lot, so I'm not home much. But I love my daughter so much. I try to give her everything she wants, but she never seems happy. Her mother died when she was young, but Kaela is very sensitive about her, so when I go out, I tell her it's for work. I don't want to upset her.Well, I'm the new boy.
